Can I print out a copy of the course?

There is an option within each CE course to access the instructional material and download it as a PDF. You can download/print the instructional material from the "Course Content" section in the Table of Contents. The instructional material is provided as a supplemental study resource and is not meant to replace the online course (except for CA courses, which can be taken online or as correspondence). All slides and activities must still be completed within the online course and seat time requirements must still be met (where applicable).

The state of Minnesota does not allow for Minnesota instructional material to be printed.

This sometimes happens with Apple products or Microsoft Edge browser. What happens is the course launches and then immediately hides behind the main account window. If you minimize the main account window, the course window will be behind it.

From the table of contents in any course, you can view the percentage of course content that you’ve completed, as well as the time you’ve spent in the course. In order for us to issue a completion certificate, your course must be 100% complete. If applicable, the minimum time required for your state must also be fulfilled, and the final exam passed.

Do I have to take an exam at the end of each course?

Yes! There is a final exam at the end of each course. This is to maintain the integrity of the online course work and to ensure that you have read and retained the information. For specific information regarding the final exam requirements for your state, please access the requirement details on the course catalog page.

What is reciprocity?

Real estate reciprocity is the ability of a real estate license earned in one state to be used in other states. Reciprocity rules vary by state, and it can be a complicated system to navigate on your own. But don't worry! The CE Shop has created a guide explaining reciprocity and breaking down the process for obtaining real estate license reciprocity in each state.

Does my state have reciprocity with other states?

The requirements for transferring a real estate license to another state vary, and each state can decide whether to offer full reciprocity, partial reciprocity, mutual reciprocity, limited reciprocity, or none. For more information, check out our real estate license reciprocity guide, which outlines the process for obtaining license reciprocity in each state.

What is the process for reasonable accommodations/ADA accommodations?

The CE Shop provides reasonable accommodations for disabilities. Testers must provide 7-10 business days notice in order for their accommodation to be properly processed. The full ADA policy and procedure can be found here.

Who is required to take Ethics coursework?

REALTORS® are required to complete Ethics training of no less than 2 hours and 30 minutes of instructional time. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.

When is the Ethics requirement due?

The current Ethics cycle will end on 12/31/2021. NAR's Board of Directors approved a change to the Code of Ethics training requirement, extending it from every two years to every three years. As such, all REALTORS® must complete their Ethics training requirement by 12/31/2021 to retain their NAR membership.

Will my local association accept your course?

Ethics courses by The CE Shop are designed to meet the REALTOR® Code of Ethics Training Requirement. Please confirm that your local association, who administers the Code of Ethics training, will accept this course.

Where do I complete my Ethics coursework?

Training may be completed through NAR’s online courses or through another method, such as online or classroom courses via local or state associations. View the CE Shop’s Ethics offerings here.

How do I check my Ethics status?

REALTORS® can check their Ethics status online by signing into their NAR account here or by confirming their status with their local association. If you have completed an Ethics course with The CE Shop from 1/1/2019 to 12/31/2021, the course was designed to meet the training requirements. Please confirm that your local association, who administers the Code of Ethics training, will accept the course.

How is my Ethics course reported?

All course completions are reported to the state for CE credit within the required time frame (where applicable). The CE Shop does not report Ethics course completions to NAR. Reporting Ethics courses to NAR is the responsibility of your local association, and you should submit your certificate of completion to your association accordingly. Please check with your association if you have any questions.
